Executive Search
BOARD CONNECT actively contributes to the most important value creation of commercial enterprises, institutions, and the public sector: the high-quality and tailor-made filling of board, management, and key positions. We provide our clients with creative recruitment proposals, develop multifaceted candidate portfolios, and offer a variety of recruitment concepts. The focus is on strong character, value-driven personalities, inspiring leadership, creative drive, and entrepreneurial spirit—always in line with the client’s goals and ambitions.
Our search process is based on systematic direct search and thus personal, confidential direct contact with candidates. This is supported by our highly systematic in-house market research and our own project management methodology, which is divided into five areas of activity:
- Identification of structures and individuals in suitable target companies,
- targeted candidate selection from a professionally structured database,
- analysis of completed projects with a similar or identical focus,
- internal recommendations from our circle of consultants,
- external recommendations from industry experts and business partners associated with us.
If necessary, we can combine the active search approach (direct search) with the passive search approach of targeted advertising to further enrich the pool of candidates. We design the advertisement, develop the layout and media plan, and then take care of the advertisement placement and the entire applicant management process.

Management Diagnostics
The BOARD-CONNECT team has been conducting successful management assessments for decades—for example, in the context of mergers, changes in ownership, restructuring situations, or new formations in management or executive boards.
Using in-depth, competency-based interviews in combination with online assessments, we provide insightful personality/competency profiles, potential analyses, and external benchmarking. As a dedicated personnel consultancy that operates in the executive market on a daily basis, we can supplement the evaluation of the interviewees with meaningful external cross-comparisons and market context. This gives our clients a higher level of insight: What is the quality level of the company’s management circle and how does it compare to the market/competition?
Our consulting services include individual and group assessments and the evaluation of specific management levels. We tailor the concept, approach, and team structure to the client’s specific needs and deliver customized solutions in this area of consulting as well. The evaluation is always carried out by a gender-mixed consulting tandem.
Succession planning
BOARD CONNECT is in close contact with top executives who are looking to acquire a stake in a company or purchase a business. As small and medium-sized enterprises are a declared focus of BOARD CONNECT’s consulting services, we are also in constant close dialogue with owners and owner families. This means we are familiar with the respective corporate situation and are able to establish the right connections between the two groups in the context of succession planning or new shareholder structures. We also maintain good relationships with private equity firms that are looking for investment opportunities in the form of entrepreneurial investments or company acquisitions. BOARD CONNECT acts as a matchmaker at the interface between investment willingness and investment needs. We also organize the transition from family to external management, work with owners and families to develop new management configurations, and recruit trustworthy top managers who safeguard what is often the central family asset.
Interim Management
Sudden vacancies often jeopardize momentum in corporate development and/or the achievement of corporate goals. BOARD CONNECT has access to a portfolio of interim managers from all industries and functions who can be available within a few days. They quickly and expertly familiarize themselves with the new role, secure the company’s plans, keep the workforce together, and, as proven “doers,” master the operational side of things. BOARD CONNECT focuses purely on placing interim managers and does not engage in temporary staffing, meaning that interim managers enter into a contract directly with the company they are serving in a management capacity.
Board Advisory
BOARD CONNECT acts as a trusted project and sparring partner for supervisory boards, administrative boards, and advisory boards in the area of corporate governance, in the implementation of board reviews/competence benchmarks (self-evaluation of supervisory bodies), in the development of tailor-made management configurations at the executive board or management level, in the preparation of adequacy reports for executive compensation and the development of compensation models and contract architectures that comply with good corporate governance as well as market conditions for top managers in Germany and abroad.
